This institute, founded in 2007, as a result of a strategic alliance with the Astrid & Gaston Corporation, is chaired by the famous chef Gaston Acurio.
Last year 113 students applied to enter the program and 84 new students were enrolled. The school continues to grow and each year the number of applications submitted has increased significantly.
In 2011, the total number of matriculated students was 212. 25 students graduated.
Towards the end of the program, students are awarded with paid externship opportunities at the restaurants owned by the Astrid & Gaston Corporation.
In addition to benefitting from the knowledge of the highly qualified instructors, students participate in a class called ‘Signature Cuisine,’ where guest lecturers deliver master classes on Peruvian cuisine.
